| The Science Learning Centre is now responsible
for arranging quality Continuing Professional Development
for those involved in post-16 Science Education in our region.
We also coordinate a practitioner network, building on the
success of our active network of Subject Learning Coaches
who meet regularly to share resources and ideas.
Your Regional Science Lead is Helen Roberts, who can be
contacted by emailing h.roberts@slcs.ac.uk.

We are able to arrange CPD to suit your institution's particular
needs. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. We
also deliver a range of excellent courses which will help
to inspire those involved in post-16 science education.
A selection of our post-16 courses is shown here.
Highlights include courses: "Maths in Science",
"e-Learning for Post-16 Science", "Inspiring
Forensic Science" and "Does A Level Chemistry
give you a headache" - a practical course with an industrial
spin . Contact us if you would like to see these or any
of our courses run in your region. More courses, dates and
venues will be available very shortly.
Please remember that bursaries are available to cover course
fees and apply early.
The next science practitioners network meeting
is on the 28th November at the Cambridge Regional College.
As usual, we'll be sharing some practical tips and ideas
for what works well in the classroom.
Future meeting dates: 15th May (venue to be confirmed)
and 10th July at the Science Learning Centre, East
of England.
